Shaking starting off in first
I have a 99 SS m6 and when I start off in first gear from a stop the stick shift shakes. I'm not sure if it's the transmission or what... or is this normal?

try giving it a little more gas and lifting off the clutch pedal quicker so it engages sooner, otherwise i think it pretty common. ive seen it on some cars and not on others unless your describing something else.

Most guys after installing an aftermarket clutch do the drill mod on the master line regardless if the master is new. I had the Ram Powergrip HD installed and also had some chatter when it was new but that was because its a much more agressive clutch and the catch point was different with the new adjustable master. Try give it more gas and possibly do the drill mod.

I used to experience this on my stock clutch. It would shake pretty bad when leaving from a stop in 1st gear. I took it to the shop and they resurfaced the flywheel, and it fixed it. If you give it more gas though, you won't be experiencing any shakes/shutters. my .02

mine does the same thing! only at low rpm. its because the stage 3 is basically in or out, not much in between to play with. Cant slip the clutch like the stocker. no worries from what ive heard its normal. try taking off at a slightly higher rpm.

I think it must be the characteristic of a high perfomance clutch.I had a RAM race clutch in my stock t/a from the previous owner and it would shake and shatter and all sorts of stupid ****. The engagement was terrible, especially at lower rpms. At higher rpm's it was better, but nowhere smooth. Then I could not longer take it. I took the RAM out and put a stock oem LUK clutch back in. The pedal was about 20 lbs lighter. The engagement was smoother, but not perfect. I was told to help break in it by shifting into 3rd and and bascially "fluttering" the clutch. In other words have it in third let(not for very long though, I think I did it twice) the clutch out about 3/4 and run the rpm's up to 2,000, but not stalling the vehicle, you wont' be moving either. I guess this would basically burn any oils of on the surface. This seems to help and the engagment is really smooth.
