So I'm on my way home
I'm on my way home today from chruch, and i just gun it, b/c i haven't done it in a while. And little do i know, my pastor is right behind me in his new BMW Z4. Nice car, but not my taste. I pull up to the light, and we just start talking. His Son following behind him pulls into the next lane and he blurts out "His car will wax yours." So now i'm in defense mode about my car. And pastor is looking at me, and says "I'm not used to the car yet" Which i'm cool with, and then pastors wife goes "His car will wax yours" at this point i'm laughing. And the light turns green, and i have to turn (i was in the turn lane) and they go off.
But i will see the son later tonight, which i will probably endup setting him straight on a couple things.
And this is the same pastor that a couple weeks ago was trying to set up a race between me and one of the elders which has a 97Z28.
just thought i'd share.

I think that's just catholic priests....
For like methodists and Lutherans, typically the pastor gets either a church owned house or full housing allowance to make the payments on a house, plus a salary.
If the church is in a big city, and it happens to be in a good part of the big city, well, let's just say the pastor can eat lobster and steak and drive a NICE Beamer. I know one pastor in Chicago with a house worth $350k back in like 1988 - probably a 600k+ house now (inflation).
But then I also know pastors driving 15 year old cars and living in houses that are borderline for being condemned.
The pastor's "well being" is direclty related to the well being of the church members in methodist and Lutheran churches.

As towards the well being of a pastor, this is not a thread to discuss it.
I have seen both sides of a the spectrum, some pastors i've seen have had the same car for the past 15 yrs.
While other drive around in Lexus'
It all depends on the theology of how the denomination deals with money.
I know some pastors that have a very nice car collection, and some where the Church Congregation bought the pastor a Rolls for Pastor Appreciation Day.
