Default rear end leak from the driveshaft

hey guys i rear seal is leaking i think from where the DS attaches to it.

I saw it a little before but after changing the fluid today i noticed that it was actually a little worse than i thought...

What can i do to fix this? what has to be done?

Thanks

Not annoying, always glad to help. Just sometimes wish folks would help themselves first, makes me feel like I write FAQs to bone up on my typing skills

i have found that with my car the diff. was leaking. the problem was that the yoke was pitted with scraps from the dirt that gets in there. so i had to buy a new yoke.

What's a FAQ?

Here's something that's not in it....

The pinion seal seepage will be aggravated by any
pinion wobble. This in turn is aggravated by any slack
in the front pinion bearing (crush sleeve crushes over
time and abuse) and any excessive u-joint radial force
(pinion angle and driveline angle away from optimum).
No rotary seal can hold up, when it's constantly being
kicked off the seating surface.

If you can feel -any- side play in the pinion snout then
things are loose and you might need to get it re-set-up.
Hopefully not. But this is one thing that makes the hard
pinion spacer nice, it does not drift dimensionally over
time. Your mod list doesn't indicate any non-stock
suspension which is usually where pinion angle changes
would come from. You would probably notice any level of
driveline vibration that would cause increased leakage.

You might just say "the hell with it" and run a thicker
gear oil. Unless it's a drip a day, you shouldn't run out
of juice between service intervals (12K, though this is
not always done even by dealerships).
