I've got a GMMG catback and I'm looking to put together the rest of the exhaust next semester. I'm not sure about cats yet, but I'll probably end up with them. I also kind of want to drop it maybe 1"-1.5" so I want some headers that will give me decent ground clearance. What are some good options for me?

Wow.
OK then.
Stay away from SLP LT's- they have low hanging collectors. Not an option for a dropped car.
For a bargain header/ Y-pipe combo- go with Pacesetters and Texas Speed's Y-pipe.
For an awesome performance and quality header, go with QTP's High Velocity Merge collector header. QTP's Y-pipe is a little cumbersome, but flows incredibly well.
I've had both the SLP and the QTP's and the QTP's hands down trump the SLP's performancewise (I even picked up some good power down low due to the velocity spike).
All LT's except SLP's are fine for a dropped car. All headers install easily except for SLP's (you must pry the tranny over for SLP's).

If you want bang for the buck, get the Pacesetters ... ls1powerhouse02 just got some and is waiting for my duals before he puts them in his car.
In most cases, a custom Ypipe is going to give you the best ground clearance and fit. However, if you've got the money and want to go with kooks (stainless), I've heard nothing but good things about their Ypipes, which come with cats.

I have QTPs and swear by them. Their Y-pipe is a pain, but, I think I just didn' t spend enough time adjusting it. Otherwise, my QTPs LITERALY slipped right in. The right side went in without removing anything more than it took for the stock manifolds. The driver' s side was nearly as simple, if not a little more dangerous in my case. You have to have the vehicle up really high. Had I had the car high enough, it would have went right in, but you have to get it 100% verticle to go in.
For reference my MACs were a HUGE pain. I won' t go into details, just be advised the QTPs were super easy to get in there
