Default supercharger people, a little help if you would...

tell me what you have, what other mods you have, what problems you have resulting from the s/c, how much power you're making, what times it runs, etc, etc
i'd just like to know everything you can tell me, from as many people as possible. i really like the procharger, but i'd like all the pro's and con's from whichever s/c you may have.
thanks

I had a D-1SC with Dynatech long tube headers on an otherwise stock car. With a 4.50 pulley it made a little over 500 rwhp on a Mustang dyno. That's about as far as I felt we should push the stock bottom LS1 at the time.

If you've already decided on a ProCharger make sure you start the project with an 8 rib kit.

Mark

i'm pretty sure the d-1sc comes with the 8rib now. and i would be going with d-1sc if i go that route.
i've got kooks lt's and lanes duals right now, which is really my only 'power adders' as far as mods go, but i'm making pretty good power for what i've got IMO (368rwhp)
you say "had", what happened? sell the s/c or the car?
i want to be safe on the stock bottom end until i feel like (or afford) to forge it.

Procharger would be a good choice. Now that the belt problems have been fixed people are putting up some pretty stout #s. You probably will have to modify the P.C.V. system to keep the dipstick down if you really get into the higher boost. Either delete it and vent it or use the check valve, catch can system.

what do you consider higher boost? do you know at what boost people are having those problems?
7-9 psi is all i'd want to be running

I sold the D-1SC and went with twin turbos. There is no looking back.

That's probably right around where problems start. You'll probably have to do something.
