Default Almost done with my 408 turbo truck!

So here it is! My Turbo 408 truck is almost done. Took me almost a year because I ran out of funds. But I have a long way to go before I reach my goal. I still need to hook up my boost controller and tune it. Damn transmission won't go into gear though. Hopefully I will find the problem tomorrow.

Specs:
LAPD 408 LQ4 Iron block
Diamond Pistons
Callies forged nitrated crank
Forged Eagle Rods
SCE Copper Titan Gaskets
Billet Main caps of course
TEA Stage 3 heads
All ARP
Innovative T-76 R-trim Dual Ball bearing big shaft turbo with Water.
Innovative 42mm Progate
Livernois motorsports turbo kit
HKS Race SSQV Blow off valve Type II
Apexi AVCR Boost controller
Custom 3.5" downpipe with madrel bent exhaust and Borla XR-1 Muffler
LS6 intake manifold
80mm BBK Throttle body
Racetronix Dual Fuel pump setup and 60lbs injectors
Yank 3200 Converter
Built 4L60E (Hope it will last a few pulls on the dyno)
Wenco Alluminum Driveshaft
Meziere Water pump
Upgraded to 34" HD Radiator with Flex-a-lite fans.
2-bar tuning with HP Tuners 2.0

Future mods:
Fast XFI
World Products LS7 Heads
LS7 Intake manifold
Snow Alky kit
Built 4L80E Trans.
Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
All new suspension with custom 4-link and coil over shocks
9" rear end

Katech valve covers and a bunch of stuff to make it look nice
Maybe a World Product 427. Don't know yet.

Here is a link to some pics and a video:

Any suggestions or comments? Especially if you guys have a clue about my transmission and why it isn't going into gear. Everything thing seems to be alright from the Tech II Diagnostics. I am thinking it is the pump.

I personally would not put a carbon fiber driveshaft in something that heavy...but hey, thats just me.

I have used the AVCR with a lot of other applications and they worked awesome. Yes, I heard people have had many problems with them on LS1 applications. If it doesn't work they I will switch it. My turbo is good for up 1200hp. Innovative turbo designed it and said it will be perfect. The cam I am using is a 232/224 reverse pattern so yes it will spool up very quickly.

I just sent two bad AVCR's back. POS. Both heated up and started doing strange things with the boost control. Put you hand on the display after running for 15 minutes...hot,hot,hot. A friend of mine used one and the boost started spiking to 18-20psi on it's own after a couple of months. Junked it out also.

Yeah the AVCR controller sucks. We had problems with them in the past as well on some Supra's. Had a few returns....I don't like that....hehe.

As for the turbo, it is to small, but like was said above, it will spool up quick. The R-trim wheel will help some with BP, but still will dry up at 800-850rwhp if that much.

That looks pretty nice. If you want to order some Katech valve covers you should check to make sure the right side will have clearance with the turbo. I can help you out when you're ready just give me a call. We can also powdercoat to any color you like.

I have been using the AVC-R for over a year now and I like it a lot. A lot of people hate it because it can be confusing, but I just started reading the owners manual over and over and I have it tuned to give me stable boost.

I kind of like the simplicity of a good grainger MBC...
