Default What heads and cam to go with?

Ive given up on the idea of building a rear mount system and I want the feel and sound of a bad *** ls1. Ive decided to go with a head and cam package because one of my friends has installed a ton of them and is willing to do mine. I just don't know where to start. There are so many out there that I don't really know what is good and what is great. Im looking to get 425rwhp and have decent drivabilty. please help me out with some suggestions.

00 pewter TA M6 slp lid, magnaflow catback, pacesetter longtube, 3" y pipe

Thanks

Tim

the great thing about cartek, although still peaking nice, the power band is amazing, you can expect to run low 11's with it... Cartek is also having a awesome freaking sale right now... trust me, all they do is silently make fast cars

Guys are making great numbers/times with the LG Motorsports G5X3 or X4 with AFR heads. Its all a bit pricey, but I went that route, and Im so glad I did.

cartek 3x you are pretty much certain to be in the 10's... I'm telling you... call dave up at cartek, and let him know Adam from virginia referred you to him.... he'll take extra care of you... they are sooo helpful up there, they can also grind you a better cam.... the thing about cartek, no one can make cylinder heads work the way they do.... they use the best parts, and make the best stuff

If I remember correctly Cartek only does hand ported heads... Consumers get a more repeatable product when purchasing CNC'd products... Like ETP, AFR, the PRC CNC'd heads from TSP. Hand porting was great when that is all we had but CNC work guarantees everyone gets the same product time after time...

I have already tried the hand ported way, wish I had not… money down the drain…

Good Luck,

They are a forum vendor BUT, I have to disagree, this is just my personnel experience of a dyno-day at RideRevolution; a few months back with another C5 owner with a their 383, the results were not what he thought it was going to be and was 20rwhp less than my 346 results... Needless to say this guy was complaining... and accused me of hitting the N20...

Haha. Im with you. ET, AFR, PRC etc. You can basically look around and see what you'll get out of it. I went to a dyno day and this one guy rolled over 500 na and it idled like a pussycat. I then got the number to his motor guy. He now tunes my **** also.
