Default Do the FAST intakes whine?

I helped somebody install a FAST 90 in a vette today. That thing definitely seemed to have some resonance between 1400 and 2200 RPM's. It was very evident when the RPM's were dropping and going through that range (i.e. 2200 down to 1400 or less). That is the only RPM range where the sound is heard. Nothing from idle to 1400, and nothing above 2200. Tried testing for intake leaks, but none were found. Just checking, cause I might not want one if they all sound as bad as his. I would describe the sound today as a fairly high-pitched whine. I had heard one other one that definitely had more of a whistle sound to it. Don't know if that makes sense, so I was just wondering if others had experienced the same.

BTW, the sound is noticeable both in and out of the car. Even with a loud exhaust, the sound is very audible.

Whistle means that there is air going through it. and at a decent rate at that.

Mine whistles. I was told that there was a ridge just inside the lip of the opening that causes it and if you sand it a little it stops.

Thats funny, my 90/90 combo makes no sound at all. I wish it did whistle. Thats one thing I miss about my LT1 car with its K&N CAI. It sounded like it had a Vortech Supercharger on it.
