Default Thinking about getting these emblems... but a bit pricey

Came across these emblems for a little over $100 and I really like the look of them. I asked if I could get the "28" part in gloss black and they said it would be no problem since they make these themselves. Of course, I don't quite have the 5.7 anymore so maybe they can change that as well. I'm trying to be original since so many have the 68-70 Z28 emblems, Z06 styled emblems, etc (also trying to get new emblems because the top of the Z broke off my fender emblem so it looks like I have a "less than 28" ). I'm just really not sure I'm ready to pay this kinda money for originality though. What do you all think? Worth it or not? If not, any better ideas?

I REALLY like them, but i bet you could talk to Bret Franker and he could make you some overlays like that for WAAAAAY cheaper. For the broken Z, you could just find a stock replacement for cheap too.

I have those just a little different and love them. Well worth the money. Mine kinda blend in due to the pewter color. Heres some pics.

They're $110 on ebay now.... definitely not looking to pay that. I'd pay $60 though for that set.

dragonz28 is the guy who makes them he is a member on here. and they cost more bc they are specialized with the red, and the 60 dollar set is prolly the ones without the red in them.

I have been looking at getting a set of those myself with the 28 filled in black or even the whole emblem Z28 filled all the same color, when I questioned this I was told it could not be done. I have heard so many people on this site saying good things about the quality of these emblems and the fact that DragonZ can do anything you want with them, but I guess I have been not given the same impression.

ArcticZ28, we have spoken via PMs why they are priced the way they are. More work goes into making these, and the price is determined by all involved parties producing them - one person does not make the price. When more work is done, then more has to be charged. I am sorry if you think these cost too much. We do sell these quite often at the price they stand now. I am not trying to be negative, but only defend our position.

We spoke with you in nothing but a professional manner. We do put out great quality, and unique items. We can also do custom orders so long as it is reasonable. What you asked for would be extremely difficult to make without damaging the product itself. We know what we are talking about when we say something should or should not be done. We might be able to do it, but the risk in doing so might mean having to try 3 or 4 times before it gets done right, and that is not professional. Those 3 or 4 times are our time. I have worked more than full-time and I am a full-time college student and my time is very valuable. I would rather not get involved in something of the nature you are requesting. When I doubt the quality of a product will be less than great, I will never bring myself to making it because those kind of mistakes can be very undermining. Again, I am not trying to sound rude or negative, but I am responding in a way I feel is appropriate to all parties involved.

You gotta charge what you gotta charge, just too pricey for a set of emblems in general. I don't have that kind of money right now for such a small item. They do look good though, no doubt about that, and I know a lot of LS1Tech'ers have gotten quality emblems from you. Maybe we can work something else out, we'll see.

I don't think they are pricey at all, for the material, and quality....try owning a TA, and call GM to ask what a OEM WS6 Emblem runs, you'll agree once you do....

Outstanding work Dragon, as always...

You gotta pay to play....sometimes that means biting the bullet to get what you want. I'm not saying these are OR aren't worth it, but make a decision and DON'T LOOK BACK!

I am asking for nothing different than what you are doing with your SS emblems, just in the Z28 ones. I want your emblems with the stainless steel and a black or red painted inside of the emblem. I understand this is going to be more difficut to do than the all Stainless Z28 emblems, but if you can do it with the Super Sport (SS) emblems and the Z on the Z28 emblems why can you not do it on the entire Z28 emblem that you already produce. I am willing to pay a little more than what you charge for them if you are willing to do them, and I am sure there would also be more interest than just form me if they were done.
