I did my swap for just under $2000 including new Spec 3, master and slave, and shipping to Japan. You can find the kits for around 1000-1500 if you look hard enough.

I used Tennissee Auto for my swap kit and payed $2400 including shipping. The kit included a rebuilt trans, Spec stg 3 clutch, spec billet flywheel. I wouldnt recommend using tennessee auto though. They kind of screwed my buddy on some upgrades. We both payed for upgraded synchros, shift forks, and blockers... I got all mine, he didnt. Then they wouldnt make it right for him. You'd think that since we bought two full kits at once with upgrades, they'd take better care of us... think again

PM 02BLKWS6 (i think is his name, in the Southern Section) He did it on his LS1 car... but the actual swap can't be too different.

I paid 1200 from someone local. Included was a newer Spec 3, B&M Ripper, and all the necessary parts to do the swap along with all the harness pigtails. The shafts are different from LT1 to LS1. Here's a great write-up on everything you'll need to swap and how it's done. http://www.afrashteh.com/tranny_pics/T56.htm
