New IAC
I know this really doesnt belong here but people that read the PCM section do not like to answer posts unless it pertains to "real" tuning issues.
My car had a difficult time starting. It acted like an old sbc with a holley and not coke so i changed my IAC. The car now starts normaly but the idle is high (about 1000) and the motor decelerates slowly. Any ideas on what i need to do to fix it.

Are you sure it was the IAC that was actually bad in the first place? Maybe try putting the old one back in and see if it goes back to how it was, or just still has the high & hanging idle. That'd be the next thing I'd try, just to eliminate that possibile variable.

Drive around and give it a little time. I bet the it will work itself out. When I put on my new tb it took a while for the new IAC to find the idle. I drove around with it and after a day it was fine.
