electrical problem at WOT

electrical problem at WOT When I go WOT the car loses power as if the car is only running of the battery (lights dim gauge reads 8-9 volts). I have replaced five alternators in the past three months and I have only driven the car about 3000 miles. The alternator that is on the car now is an AC Delco. The problem is only there when I'm at WOT and not at any other time, I replaced the belt and still nothing.
1. Do I have a short some where?
2. Could my WOT switch for be grounding out of something causing this problem?
Any suggestion would help.

I have seen engine twist due to loose or broken motor mounts cause a disconnect where fusable links attach to the starter.
I would check out the wires on the starter and any ground straps connected to the engine.
