Default LS1 vs LS6 intake.......

How much rwhp should I see if I swap out my LS1 intake for an LS6? I've heard you don't see much gain.................like around 5rwhp!

Yeah........I got all that. Heads, cam, full exhaust, CAI, Blah blah blah. But I still got my stock intake! I still heard its really not worth the swap. And that if I was gonna spend the cash for a new intake to get the FAST LSX.

Any opinions???

That's what I keep hearing. "Go with the 90/90"........everyone says that's the only worth while way to go. But what kind of gains could I expect? I don't have the cash now, but maybe when I get back from deployment! I need new cylinder heads bad, but that's gonna have to wait for a long while.

I'm with you.......I'm gonna go with the 90/90, then get a bigger cam and some good heads to compliment the new cam. My cam is too small for me. Sounds good with the 112 lobe sep, but not powerfull enough! I thought you just put that cam in? You don't like it?

No I think it might be a bit to small this is the add from TR

99-TR230/224-111 Thunder Racing Custom "Reverse Split" Camshaft - 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars . Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended

TR made 410rwhp /390 torque

with this setup
This dyno graph is of a 1999 LS1 TransAM with Thunder Racing 230/224, 111 lsa Camshaft with stock cylinder heads. Other mods include Grotyohann Long Tube headers, Whisper Lid, LS6 intake manifold, Thunder Racing ported throttle body, ASP Pulley, 12 bolt rear end w/ 4.30 gears and custom computer tuning. The "before" graph shown are with the same bolt-on modifications. The only things that were changed were the camshaft and the y-pipe was replaced with 6" collector extensions for dyno and track use.

Oh wait.....you have mid length headers! Dude, IMO you would benefit at least 10 more rwhp from LT's over the ones you got! I'm not positive though! I just heard that if your not running LT's your wasting your money.
