Default Catalytic Converters

I talked to my guy at the exhaust shop and he recommended I buy another Pacesetter ORY and have him weld-in 2 cats for me and make sure it fits real good etc. Question is what cats to get? Ive looked at carsound, pypes etc. any feedback? I want a good quality lasting high flow cat but not in the random technologies price range.

I dont know what the emissions rules are ther in PA but in CA you cant move the converters i always thought that was a federal rule but hey i could be wrong maybe check into it before you go and shell some cash for converters if your gonna be illegal might as well not half-*** being illegal

I bought 2 carsounds cats for 100 bux off a guy on here. Im gonna have the muffler shop make me my own y pipe for 80 bux and just weld in the cats, id say forget about the pacesetter one and get one custom made, and hey did you ever figure out what o2 extensions we need for the lt1?

Just move to Wyoming; no emissions standards here. You can drive around with open headers if you want to because there's no sound ordinances either.

Nah i never figured out what extensions we need hahah. So I'll just use what is provided in the pacesetter kit then because I'm cheap.
To answer soemoens question, I will pass inspection with the cats in a diff location

Technically, it's illegal to move the cats. But most inspections don't know where they're supposed to be anyway so you should pass. As for the extensions, I posted a couple of times that for the driver's side you want the 12" flat 4 wire extension. The passenger side will probably work with the 12" as well but I got the 24" to make sure it was long enought to tie it up and out of the way.

Anyone use or know of Pypes cats? What catalytic converters do you recommend that I have welded onto my ORY?
