Default GMMG does not use sweet thunders

Lately I've heard alot of people saying that GMMG get their chambered mufflers from sweet thunder. When I called to order my GMMG the other day, I asked about this. I said "do you guys get your mufflers for the chambered exhaust from sweet thunder?" She laughed at me and said "no, haha." She said they have someone that makes them just for GMMG, and they aren't the same as the sweet thunders. So just in case you guys were wondering...........................

This is a rumor i've seen floating around here. I've heard a couple people say recently that if you use sweet thunders to build your exhaust, it will sound like GMMG since that's where they get their chambered mufflers from.

i've never heard this, think about it, why would sweet thunder let another company use it's product yet change the name? maybe people on the board just meant that they sounded similar but were cheaper? well thanks for the heads up anyhoo bro' ......

I know, it makes sense to me. I just thought there was some question. If not, never mind. I just thought I'd throw it out there.

That's what I'd heard recently too. I'm more inclined to believe that than the Sweet Thunder one.

Thats what everyone has heard, but is there anything to back that up? Such as sound similarities/build?

i think the words "i told you so" come to mind...

ive been trying to tell people that for a long time... ive seen both mufflers (gmmg & stainless works) up close.. and installed.. and heard the sound.. they sound identical, their contruction is identical, the materials look identical.

well since GMMG only sells a complete kit.. its 700$.. you can get the mufflers from Summit Racing.. or directly from stainlessworks.. both have the same price of $125 for 1 muffler.

Yeah, I'm curious too. I feel like calling them back and asking.
