Default low numbers?

i just had my ss tuned and dynoed it put down 395 hp and 364 ft lbs it has a fully forged bottom end, 11:1 compression prc stage 2.5 5.3L heads milled .030 ms3 cam stock maf ported tb ls1 manifold pacesetter longtubes tsp ory and a 3 inch hooker catback. it also has 4.11 gears in the rear end behind an m6. i thought those numbers seemed a little low. i know the stock maf ls1 manifold 4.11's and being on a mustang dyno doesnt help but i still thought it would do a little better. any ideas?

The addition of a LS6 manifold will be good for around an additional 15 rwhp. Also the number on a Mustang dyno in most cases, will not be as great as a number from a dyno jet. We have seen customer with as much as a 10% difference in the Mustang and Dyno Jet numbers.

Think you hit the nail on the head there.

What sort of rwhp where you expecting?? As stated above the LS6 style intake manifold would probably add 15 or so rwhp on top. So that would be 410rwhp straght off. And had it been on a DynoJet then I can easily believe it would read another 20+rwhp.

I would say 395rwhp on a Mustang dyno with an LS1 style intake manifold thats pretty good going.

Remember it's what it does on the track that counts not what it makes on the rollers.

For a motor like that I would do a FAST 90mm setup. That should gain 20hp on top of a LS6.

What he said. Don't go to the LS6 intake. You'll be leaving too much power on the table compared to running the FAST 90/90.

You should pick up 35-40 rwhp on a Mustang dyno over where you are now.

i'll guess 430 rw on the stang dyno with the 90/90 and a u/d pulley.
