electric cutout wont work, help please
i got a qtp cutout installed last tuesday and just got around to hooking up the switch today. I used a cigarette lighter extenion for the power and just spliced the switch wires into them. Then i hooked up the cable to the cutout.
There is a white light on the end of the switch and when moved one way it turns green and the other way is red. Is there a reason that this should not be working?

Check your wiring first, including the fuse. If all is good take a multimeter and have someone run the switch while you see if power is getting to the cutout motor.
If no power you have an electrical issue. If you have power the motor may be bad.
On mine the reduction gears next to the motor had worked themselves off because the screws in the housing came loose. You might check that.

When I installed mine I used a "switched" power source (radio fuse) for power and the black wire off the cig lighter for ground. Not sure what you mean by cigarette lighter adapter.

I installed one last week! It worked fine off the car, but when installed on the cutout, it wouldn't move! I had to relieve an area on the cutout mounting fllange where the motor shaft was rubbing and wouldn't move.
