295x35x18s rub?? need help
Hey guys i traded my 18x9.5 chrome z06 rims last night for some black Z06s. They are 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rears. My rears seem to rub though..its not too bad, but noticeable, especially on like inclines and stuff. I removed the bumpstops and cut some of the wheel well out to make it fit and it still rub a little, what else can i do to get them to fit better? Do i need to roll the fenders? thanks everyone

I've got that combination in the back of my 01 T/A now. I did put a 3/8in spacer to push them out alittle. I've had no rub issues even with the G-2 suspension on it. I didn't roll the fender or any other mods to make them fit. The T/As seem to have alittle better clearence in the rear wheel wells too.

I beat the inner well with a mallet where it was rubbing... also using a 1/4" spacer as well. Mine are the OEM Z06 wheels off a 2002 Z06, so the rears are also 18x10.5 just like yours.

Just got my chrome C6's put on last night. 18x8.5 245/40 up front and 18x10.5 295/30 out back. As of now no issues. I did prepare, though. I went ahead and knocked in the inner fender well a little with a small sledge.

i used 5/16 spacers and had to remove and grind down my left bumpstop, i beat the inner fender well at the 9o'clock position but probably didnt need to, i have 18x10.5 in the back with 295/35/18 firehawk wide ovals which as the name suggests, are wider than the average 295'er.

There you go. Whatever it takes is the right attitude! A little work to get them to fit without rubbing but its all worth it. I love how a wider rim/tires make the car look!!
