Got the new cats put on today. The passenger side cat was loose on the front half inside. It appears to be a two piece and the front piece slides freely. Has about an inch and half of travel. All that banging inside the pipe was just echoing and reverbing through out the whole system and under the whole car. Quiet as an ls1 with a beefed up valve train now. Just want to say thanks to Ellis and Tom for all thier help. Kind of bummed was looking forward to a 408

Great ....

Had a few cats go bad the same way...The double brick Lt1 type either broke the front brick or the back....Then you get that damn rattle....
