Advice: Looking to maybe purchase a STS kit and need info with my set-up.
Hey all:
I am thinking about going with a STS 5psi set-up. Here is a list of my mods. I just want to get some advice.
2002 Camaro A4 18,000 miles. All bolt on's, Pacestters LT headers, TSP y-pipe with hi-flo cats, Magnaflow catback system, TEA 5.3 heads, 224/224 581 lift with 114 lsa, 3,200 stall with 342 gears. I also have a NX wet system with a 75 shot. I also have a 255 fuel pump and 30lb injectors which I will up the injectors if I go with the STS kit.
With all the mods will I benefit even more then someone with a stock set-up with the STS kit.
I hear alot of stories about not using any type of headers. Why is this? Is there any problems with adding a STS set-up with all my mods I have done already?
Any input would be much apperciated.
Thanks

Give me till Friday and I can answer your question fully. This Wednesday I'm installing my STS kit. 5PSI on top of a TR224 cam (112LSA), LT headers, etc. Horsepower estimates float between 460RWHPto 500RWHP, depending on who I talk to. What I did learn is that the large increase with a cam on a naturally aspirated engine is diminished on a forced induction car. It has to deal with the duration of the cam (except fpr boost-specific cams.)
