Stainless or Mild Steel
First SS cost alot more so a turbo kit price will be higher. Second some say that mild is better for a street car (less chance for cracking) but I really don't know about that. SS would be my first choice.

now, some people like the look of stainless uncoated, it gets kinda a blue tint to it once heat cycled, which does look cool, but not cool enough to spend twice the money in materials to build a set
in the end i think it just comes down to personal preference
I have been told by a number of fabricators so this isn't first hand information that 304ss has a larger expantion rate and so it is prone to crack more so than mild steel. And was told that 321ss was good for the job, but more expensive so for a street set up I was told to go with mild steel or 321ss if I just had to have stainless.

Really a big part of it is that I can drive it on the street a little more.
Trans, Rossler TH400.
All out, me? I'm going the conservative route.

Its non-corrosive properties are IMHO the only advatage over mild steel...but do to it correctly you should coat them inside and out anyway, which makes going stainless kinda pointless...
