Question High pitched noise...?

My 2001 Trans Am WS6 recently has started making a really high pitched noise every once in a while when i am not on the gas, but when i hit the gas it will go away and come back once the rpms come down a bit, it is very annoying and i have no clue what it is. It was making a similar noise when i first bought it but the dealer where i got it said it was the A/C clutch or something and they greased it and it was fine, dont know if it could be this again or not, anyone have any ideas?

I had/have the same problem. Mine is the a/c when I turn the a/c on it stops. It started shortly after i got it I just dripped some oil on the a/c clutch and it went away and has been gone for 2 years and has just now started again.

To see if noise is in ac clutch, turn the ac on and off and see if it affects sound etc.note that when the defroster is on--so is the ac clutch. If you still can't isolate squeel, take off your belt and spin the accessories one by one to see if you have a worn bearing.By accessories I mean power steerring, alt etc.Hope this helps.
