Getting first f-body tomorrow
I am picking up a 1998 Z-28 M6 tomorrow. Its my first f-body, but i have been doing my homework for quite a while, mainly on this site. I am not new to cars just this one in particular, i grew up working on carbureted SB chevy's. The car is all stock right now except for a aftermarket clutch and flywheel. I am ordering parts for the car next week, im getting a lid, ls6 intake from slp (w/out egr), pacesetter LT's, ORY, and a magnaflow cat back. I am going to port the tb and maf also. After all of that i am planning on taking it to HPE to get it dynotuned. Does this sound like a pretty good plan? Like i said i am new to this and im mostly going off friends advice, and this forum so i'm open to any suggestions. Does anyone have a ballpark figure for what i will be putting out at the rear wheels? Thanks for any advice.

Congratulations on getting your first f-body. Your gonna love the LS1! Sounds like a good list of mods to start with. I'm not good at estimating horsepower, but I'm sure somebody here can give you a good idea. Good luck!

Welcome to the site and congrtas on the new LS1. You are off to the right start in mods but I would save my money on the tune until you get a cam. That is what I would do and congrats again of the car.

Don't buy the SLP maf either or I'll tell you to go home. Only maf to buy is one straight from GM for an LS6 ZO6. I can tune for that and it'll run fine and flow better than stock since it's 85mm. All aftermarket maf's are junk. Only use stock or a ZO6.
