Cat. Cut Off?
I have a 2001 camaro SS w\ a flow-master cat back exaust system and not happy w\ the way it sounds. i herd the SLP loudmouth and i like that 10times more but iam a college student and on a limited budget. I was thinking about cutting off my cat. converter has any one ever done it and is a good or a bad idea?

I removed mine on a 2000 Trans Am. It makes it sound "throatier" just remember your check engine light would come on. I removed mine because i added headers, so i couldn't tell you the difference on stock manifolds. I am in college and also on a budget, but if you could you should save up the $375 and get some pacesetter LT's that way you can remove them and it will sound great. It'll also cost about 125 for a y-pipe and everything should bolt up. Plus you will have a lot more power!!
