Smoke Problems!
UPDATE! I got an oil change this morning at a shop and the smoke has disapeered. I think i put way to much oil in on accident and it was just burning it off. Now it's gone
Ok so i just changed the plate in my Borla Catback Exhaust to WIDE OPEN and i have noticed everything I GET ON IT and shift hard smoke comes pouring out from behind my car for 2 seconds, then i can smell burning and it'll go away. Then when i was parked I wanted to see if it would do it again, so i reved the engine up really high and ALOT of smoke started seeping out of the hood, and it starting coming in the shifter boot area. It does this for a couple seconds and then goes away. Any ideas???? HELP!

wow... I dont think it would have anything to do with your exhaust if its coming from the engine bay... I say check that your dipstick is in good and that it seals, I had a problem where my dipstick was broken around the seal and at high rpms it would put a little oil onto the exhaust manifold and cause smoke, got a new dipstick and it fixed it.

Side Note: Checked oil and i think there is a little too much in there. SES light has been on for past 3 days and has not gone off. I will run to autozone and get a code.

Alright good luck, when I had my problem I thought at first it was coming from the exhaust... I got a pic of the old vs new dipstick comparison if you want me to post it I can.

I checked the other day and it was a little low. It might of read incorrectly cuz i checked it today and it's a little too much. I have to change the oil like tommorow and hope it doesn't damage it. But obviously it's burning oil.
I opened my hood and there is a little smoke coming out of my oil breather.......sign of bad things??

it sounds as if you have oil getting in the combustion chamber...this could be happening for many diffrent reasons..broke ring, valve seal,etc....check your spark plugs for burnt oil...run a compression test on each cylinder to try and find the problem cylinder or cylinders....MM
