Default tranny slipping

in reverse only, actually it doesn't engage until about 2k rpm. what can i look for?
trans rebuilt about 13k miles ago
no problems going forward
stock convertor
new 3.73 gears and rear rebuild

Make sure it's full of oil. If it's ok I would contact the builder!!

A worn reverse input drum can cause your symptoms too. Reason being that the cushion steel likes to dig into the splines of the drum. Causing a delay.... kind of what your describing I think. Most quality builders will scrap these drums.
