Default F-1 vs F1-R

http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml

I thought the F1-R was way bigger than the F-1. They look almost identical according to that chart. Give me some specs. Even if it is bigger (F1-R), why is it any better to get it, the intake and outlet diameters are 1/4" bigger but it has the same step up ratio and similar impellar rpms. Or is this just misprinted?

Yes, they are similar in physical size...but look at the flow numbers and the potential power output...

The impeller is the main difference.

Look at the Volute Dia. It's 9" vs 9.75". Then the CFM output is almost 500 more over the F1. It's a much bigger blower all around. There is about a 250-300 HP max output over the F1 with the F1-R

I thought they were the same but the "R" stood for reverse, as in rotation.

Go to procharger.com and see what they say the difference is. F1 is rated to 1050 hp, and the F1R is 1300hp or so. Big difference.

The R does not stand for Reverse although it is often understandably assumed it does.
The F1R's larger 9.75" volute will provide cooler outlet temperatures per psi of boost. The unit will also flow more air.

Just for the record ATI has an F3RRR - one of those R's does stand for reverse. : )

Record Removing Reverse?

So to fit an F1-R you need to move the radiator/condensor up. Or can you even run a condensor. How much physical room is there between an F1 and an F1-R as for as clearancing stuff such as the radiator/condesor. Basically just wondering what you need to fit it.

Richie you have a pm.

Got it man. I'll talk to Daniel and get the info and forward it to you.

It's a Bigger blower all around. You also have to make a bracket to fit the engine you are using it on. Not too sure on how much longer it is or what is needed to try and fit one on a street type engine set-up w/AC and all that, But I may be filling you all in on that sometime in the next couple months.

I'm planning a super stout 408 build and looking at the limits of the D1-SC vs F1 vs F1-R. Seems like I'll want an F1 at the least on it but might go for the F1-R incase I want more (Yeah I'm a crazy idiot. LOL) for the street. LOLOLOL

If anyone is in need of a F1 I have one available. I also have a set of upper and lower pullies. The upper is 4.5". I'd like to get $2400 for it.

Sorry P.M. Box was full. It now has plenty of space.
