Default Spark Plug Wires

I call Pontiac about a set of plug wires for my 98 LS1 Trans Am and was informed they would be $165.00 for a set. Is this price about right? Also what plugs would you recommend.
Thanks

If somebody charges over $70 for a set of factory OR performance wires they are trying to bend you over the hood of your car with your pants down.

You should cease talking to whatever shop or person that quoted you the $160 price. Unfriggin' believable. Call a sponsor===>
and get a brand new set of MSD performance wires around $65 plus shipping. Don't let people screw ya'.

Texas-Speed has MSD's for a good price. Check with them, that's where I got mine. Really like them.

I had the MSD 8.5mm but my headers decided to not like them and burned them up. The MSD's just don't seem to work very well with headers, at least my Stainless Works Headers because of the way to boot is configured. I went with the Taylor Pro wires, 10.4 mm and they work much better for me. I did use some stainless steel zip ties (yup, they make those, and Thunder Racing sells them) to tie the wires out of the way, along with protecting them wiht some Tayloe Firesleeves.

$165 for wires it outrageous.....hell, I had to buy to sets of wires since my headers burned one up and paid less than that!

They're so much more for the LT1s.. $80 a set average for the MSDs,

That's still better than the $300 my dealer wanted for a new set installed.
