Figure that the stuf that you'l need like the shifter, cooler, etc.etc will cost you about 500 bucks give or take, depending on what you go with. A good tranny, with a rmvb and a transbrake will probably run you about 1200 to 2000 depending on where you go, a new driveshaft is needed, a good one is about 400 give or take, a good converter, the key to really seeing benefits of the setup is anywhere from 800 and up, depending on who you go thru. You'll need to either cut the console, make a plate for the floor and make a mount for the shifter to position it to a comfortable position for you as well.

A tq arm will be needed, as well as a crossmember, or a modified m6 corssmember... or you can go with the bmr th400 crossmember that relocated the tq arm to the crossmember, which is the route I took.

All in all, if you drop your car off at a shop and have it done, you are probably looking at 5000 plus for the entire thing soup to nuts, or if you do it yourself, knock about 800 off that for the labor. If you have good fabbing skills, then you can probably do it yoruself, if not, then a shop would probably be a good idea.

I know that some people say the speedo can be set up to work, I think if you use the abs winring it will be o.k., but as far as getting it to work thru the tranny, it's a real bitch.. and you'll most likly enup putting alot of false miles on your car if you try to get it working. Personally, I'm just unhooking it, and plan to just drive the speed of traffic or a little slower when on the street.

Just ordered mine:

Hughes TH400, race torque converter - 3900 stall (matches my hp from dyno sheet submitted to them), TH400 tranny mount, shifter, drive shaft.
Total $3,266.
Tranny has trans brake and reverse valve body. Thats with me installing all of it.

Good choice on the hughes tranny. I went with the same thing myself. Converter I went with isa little higher though... but should work pretty good now, and down the road. What did you go with for a shifter? I went with a hurst pistol grip quarter stick...

I'm prolly gonna end up going TH400 next year when I up the boost. I looked into Madman/Trans King's TH400, and I see KP running the TCI one. On a 6-700rwhp car, which manufacturer is more suitable for my application?

Madman/Trans King
Hughes
TCI
Other?

I feel as though a Rossler, or other manufacturers of that nature would be overkill???

Suggestions on brand(s)?
Suggestions on stall?

Application is basically KP's car....D1sc, 8psi (14-16psi next year), 3.42 rear, 27" tire

Thanks
Andy
