If I install 4:10's in my car will I run out of gear before I get to the end of the 1/4 mile? Or does it still pull and have room for more speed when I pass through the finish line? I have 3:23's now and I am buying a stall converter that will be put in along with gears, would 3:73's be my best option or go with the 4:10's? Not worried about gas mileage, its a weekend toy, just want to make sure that I dont run out of gear before th 1/4 is up! Thanks

www.f-body.org/gears is your friend. it all depends on what you have done, tire size and what your tranny is shifting at.
Check out our '95 Formula in the project car section of my website. 11.32 at 118 mph with an internally stock LT1, at 9 psi with an ATI ProCharger. We are using 4.30 gears in it, although we need to go back to 4.10's now. This is with 28" tall tires and a turbo 400. As was mentioned above, there are many factors involved. Bob

I never ran out of gear with my 410's, they just didnt allow me to get any traction.
