will a 96 PCM work in a 97 Camaro?

I tried searching this but didnt find anything. I am trying buy a spare PCM so I can have one tuned for my states emmisions test and the other set up as OBD 1 so my friends and I can tune it.

Yes. Even though they're different part numbers, I've found no operational difference otherwise.
