Is there anyone here that's knowledgable about cams?
Come one people, I've post multiple posts about needing help on parts for a cam install, but barely got any answers that helped me.
What parts do I need [which company, what part number, what price, ect] would I need in order to install a CC305 camshaft? I'm not knowledgable about the valvetrain. Help a guy out!

Just call comp back and order what they recommend. You're already ordering the cam from them and they carry the rest. That way it'll all get there at the same time.
At least they did the last time we ordered a cam from them....

I wouldn't order from Summit or Jegs... I'd call Thunder Racing and talk to them about what parts you'll need. They do carry the 305 I believe.... although they might recommend a newer comp cam versus the old tech 305.... the 305 is close to 10 years old.... comp has done some upgrades to cams since then. I'd look into an xtreme energy from comp with roughly the same specs.... Talk to thunder racing and they can hook you up with everything... most of the summit and jegs catalogs are for Old school SBC setups... The LT1 requires it's own cam with a dowel pin on the front.... you'd hate to order it, get your car apart and realize you have the wrong stick....

Summit carries a lot of stuff not shown in the catalog. I would call Comp Cams as suggested, get part numbers, and order from Summit. The best prices and the right advice from CC makes a winning combo.
Comp has a master cam lobes catalog online at:
http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Ca...obeCatalog.pdf
Check page 8: Xtreme Energy XFI Hydraulic Rollers
It is divided into Intake lobes and Exhaust lobes. I would recommend the 224 duration intake and the 230 duration exhaust, on a 112LSA. CC will grind it for an LT1. I would ask for 'straight up' (no advance ground in).
