Default 500 bucks what to buy?

Got 500 to spend on my car what to buy? Car is a 94 M6 with a cutout, cai and tb bypass. Should I spend 410 on Pacesetter LT's and y-pipe or 200 on electric water pump ,165 on 1:6:1 roller rockers and lt4 km plus tuning.

I would do 3.73 or 4.10's but I want more power from those 40 rolls.

Headers should definatly be the next mod. Your stock tuning will be fine... THEN you should get a cam and tuning

Install the headers and start building a base for future mods.

Are the headers coated? Headers are a great mod but they really need to be coated.

The headers are not coated. H/C will come later I need to get bolt-ons out of the way.

I was thinking a tuning is worth between 5/10 rwhp, 1:6:1 with LT4km another 10/15 rwhp and the water pump 5/10 rwhp. GAIN between 20 and 40 rwhp.

And headers somewhere around 15/20 rwhp.

Do these number seem about right?

Pacesetters coated from ebay 432+125 for y-pipe or not coated for 285+125. I'm not worried about the looks so much. If the coated made more power I could see spending the money buy with a 160 degree stat and the fans coming on it will stay cool enough.

Nitrous will come soon.

If not coated, you will be replacing them sooner than need be. If you can't spend the money on coated headers or stainless ones, then get the tuning, 1.6, etc. instead.

trying to save $.02 here is going to cost you in the long run, my philosophy is if your going to buy something, then buy the best, and if you can't afford to buy it now then don't get anxious and just buy something cheaper just to get it done, wait till you have the money and do it then, this way you actually save money and get the best results.

Bolt-ons aren't always about performance gains. Durability plays a part just as big. Coated is the way to go.

I have had uncoated headers in the past and they may not be pretty but I have seen them last for 10 years no problem.

if you know what you want then why are you asking us?

we say coated headers or none... that is our opinion.
