Buddy's Camaro Track Pics!
This is my buddy Jason's (BAMALS1 on here) '00 Z28 at Huntsville Dragway this past weekend.
Pretty nice launch for a stock internal, full-weight, 2.73 geared (for now, RIGHT JASON???) A4.

He has run a best of 8.02 (I think, I know for a fact he has been 8.05) in the 1/8th.
This particular run was in the low 8.1's at 85 MPH.
I will have to get Jason to post up his mods... Hold the line...

Car is totally stock internally, never had the valve covers off!
He is setting the car up to run NHRA Stock and possibly Super Stock in the future, hence no internal mods and a lot of suspension mods. Right now the car should run well into the 12's (I think that 8.02 pass would have been around a 12.60) and will end up somewhere in the mid to upper 10's when he is finished.
I am not real familiar with the rules in NHRA Stock class, but I know they are restrictive!
His current mods are as follows:
Waiting to be installed:
Should make for a mid 7 second car with gears (one day!)
I think Jason is scared of having gears installed because of my HORRIFIC experiences (PLURAL!!!) with Rear Gears!!!
Jason is an excellent footbrake racer, having won a track championship and having several Top-10 points finishes (every year he has run, he has been in the Top-10!) At 24 years old, he is off to a good start on his career!
Anyway, that's that!

Thanks for the kind words guys, like Taco says
I am trying to get the car setup to work well at
the dragstrip for bracket racing in the Footbrake
class, I could make it a lot faster, but i am more
concerned about having a good working, well hooking,
consistent car because i'd rather try and win races than
just having the fastest car there.
Again thanks for all the kind words
Jason
Anyone know where you can still find a carbon fiber air lid?

Nice runs man. Faster than our car with more bolt-ons! Unfortuanately at the track the 6 speed really hurts!
I'm selling my CF lid made by MTI.....here is a link......make me an offer on it if you like
