Default rearend vibration

tonight my rear end started making noises. if im going about 45 or so and i let off the gas it stops for like 5-7 seconds....then it will come on and off. I jacked up the back and spun the driver side tire...the other one spins as well but when they get to a certain spot i hear like a tap...kinda sounds like something is hitting. when i make turns the sound doesnt get any better or worse it stays the same....i was thinking rear end but its weird that it goes away when i let off the gas....it kinda sounds like something vibrateing or something.....any one know what i should check?

Inside the pumpkin should be all dead uniform and no
clunks / clicks. Might be time to pop off the lid and
count teeth, if the "tap" is internal. Scrape out all
those Torsen shavings while you're at it....
