Im pretty sure that that was the test car for the new Shelby concept Cobra.. It was featured on rides and it was not a 351 it was a 428 or 429.

lol, funny I'm reading this now.

My buddy started working for Ford a couple of months ago. They took him for a ride in that car. Said it ran 10's.

Nope...it was the "BOSS 351" prototype. They basically took an
'03 Cobra block and added two cylinders. They ran that car at my
local track. As it was mentioned previously, it ran through clutches.

Sorry about that. I quoted the wrong person.
Yes and yes...it was in MM&FF and it was tested at Milan.
I think it might've been in 5.0 magazine too. I'm pretty sure it was.

My comments were meant to support your post and to negate the one above.

They first came out with that engine in their stangs a couple of years ago. I saw it in one when I went to a huge mustang car show in Tennessee

yeah, original Ford called it the test mule, but eventually running the idea of a n/a v-10 as an option for the new cobra power plant. Trying to make it economical but didnt work out quite to plan. It would of been pretty cool... but they did great w/ the Shelby GT 500
