Well, it was windy so everyone ended up staying in line ti'll about 9:30 until they ran. Not only that, but they only let everyone run the 1/8th, I ran an EvoMR the first run, he yanked me out of the hole (duh) as I hopped to 2nd and then spun 2nd really bad, got to third crisp catching him. I got an 8.9 to his 8.7 and we both trapped 83mph, .

Second run was a new Mustang GT Convertible. Faster than I thought, he had exhaust, dunno what else, nice car though. Again, I hopped the holeshot, spun 2nd, missed 3rd, , and got a 9.0 to his 8.8, his 85mph to my 78, . Was fun to finally run the SS at the track though. Now for the driver mod and some DR's on those V6 wheels I have lying around the shop, . Any other recommendations?

That's pretty sad that you got a couple of tenths on me with your mods vs mine! haha
It was my first time to the track ever so I didn't do too well, best was 9.2
I 'beat' everything I 'raced' though.

Did you have problems when shifting to second? I had decent traction, but as soon as I shifted to second it'd light em up to 6k instantly!

And yeah.... 1/8 mile... lameeeee

Plus... having to wake up at 4:50 this morning to get here to work on time... I think I would have gladly traded in last night for more sleep LOL. It was just too windy, and got pretty cold.

What mods you got? And HELL YES on the 2nd gear, immediately lit up 6k. That Lancer EvoMR is a performer, but would have gotten his *** with some DR's. not to mention how I was reeling him in HARD, so 1/4 race would have helped, .

Damn, had to get up that early? Had I known how long the damn wait was and running the 1/8th only, I would have drank more beer with my buddies afterwards.

Yeah, the 1/8th mile **** was a big let down. If I knew they were running 1/8th, I would have stayed my *** at home. Especially since I blew a tire on my way back home, didn't get home until 2:50am, went to bed at 3am... had to be at work at 9am. Fun!

The best run I managed last night was an 8.34@88.20. I really wish it wasn't so windy last night, I could have got a new personal best.

I'll be going back out next Friday if the weather permits. Plus I should have my helmet I ordered off of eBay and won't have to dick with borrowing one.

Yeah, would have done the same, stayed my *** at home and drank beer. What car did you have Morbid? The black GT with cowl hood? Dark tint? Sick ride! Hell, I have like 3 or 4 helmets, could borrow one anytime.

Nah, I was in a '98 Navy Blue Metallic Z28 on silver 10-spoke SS wheels with dumped duals. My signature picture came from the game "F.E.A.R."

I ordered a helmet, it should be here today or early next week.

Hotcam, LT's !CATS, flowmaster (yeah, I know), lid, dyno tune, 4.10's, crappy 325 street tires, ls6 intake, wolfe 6pt rollbar, SFCs.

I think I destroyed my clutch last night too. I have to really f'ing get on it for the ar to go anywhere now. Seems like I give it gas and the rpms go but I don't speed up much! Prolly happened my last run.... burnout + launch.
I think my posi is about to explode now too... making a clunking sound and getting worse and worse! GRRR I can't really afford to get clutch and 12 bolt at the same time. And to think I was planning on h/c swap in the next couple months

Sucks about the 2nd gear smokeshow going on! Glad to know it wasn't just me.

DAMN! You must have put a hella smokeshow with those mods, lol! Ok, I remember your car now Morbid. I stayed for just two runs and got the hell out of there before I got really pissed, F the 1/8th, tis the gheyness.
