Default Stock bottom end

My shortblock has the LT1 pistons and LT4 PM rods, so I want to know how many guys here spin there stock bottom ends to 6800 or so. Any worries? I know a lot of the cc306 guys are doing it.

It's do-able, just not advisable because the stock bearings aren't designed to handle those kinds of loads.

I was running mine to 6500rpm, had my MSD 6AL box set for that. 6800 is pushing the stock bottom end, however I have read of guys doing it.

That is what I was afraid of. I guess I'll just have to see where peak power is made once its together. The bearings were the only thing I figured wouldn't live up there.

I've ran my stock shortblock to 6800 before, take it to about 6500 now.

Guys have run stock shortblocks that high, if your parts are well assembled I think you will be fine.
