I put some on my 94 about two months ago. Im very happy with them. That ceramic coating really keeps those headers lookin good. Improved sound from the exhaust too.

i like mine. if i had to choose though and do it myself instead of buyin the car as is i would have had long tubes just because of the low end torque gain. it isnt much over the mids but for the money you cant beat them. so keep in mind what you want to do with the car and go from there.

i bought my 97 with them, and they seem to be pretty nice, sounds pretty good imo also, i have gutted cats, and a crappy flowmaster muffler and i like the tone better than some ls1's around here, but oh how sweet the long tubes sound

Hey, I have PaceSetter Midlengths on my '97 LT1. They're coated and I got them from SummitRacing for $430. They're not listed under Pontiac Firebird, but they are under Chevrolet Camaro. I had no fitment issues and there is a noticable increase in power and, of course sound. I matched it with a Random Technology Dual-Catted Y-Pipe, and an SLP LM1 CatBack system. The flanges are very thick, so I imagine there will be no warping. I hope this helps!

I'm not going to mess with long-tubes down here in Texas, first off my car has to go to the roller smog test for inspection and my car is lowered and already drags on every damn speed bump in the city!

Roller in Texas? How much of Texas has the roller test? Doesn't most of Texas only require an OBD II check?

I for one like mid's. They give great low and mid, and help top a little too. They are great DD headers.

Long Tubes are of course better, but its all personal preference.

97 and newer have the luxury of just OBDll check but anything older gets strapped down! Sucks for me.
