400 in an f-body
Ok I have a couple of questions about putting a race prepped 400 in my 01 camaro. My first is I was looking at the stuff from speedinc.com and the speedo sensor, whuch one do you get? Also will I benefit besides the bigger converter factor will i gain time from the 400? My last question is what is a manual valve body? Is that where you have to shift through all 3 gears? Sorry for the question that have probably been asked and answered a thousand times. Thanks for the help in advance.

I have a Rossler TH400 in my 94.
Now I don,t know about the LS1/OBD2 cars but Rossler installed a VSS from an early 90s 454 SS pickup in my 400. When I installed it I just plugged the VSS wires right into the speed sensor and it works fine.
I have a reverse manual valve body and its kinda wierd getting used to shifting it all the time but I am starting to dig it.
I highly reccomend Rossler or Neil Chance build you a transmission. I am very happy with my TH400.
The best part is I know I will never break it.

The reverse manual valve body is fun as hell on the street. Even those of us who aren't fans of the "frum roll??" races, it's tough to find a dead spot with the manual valve at most speeds
