DD here and go off road No problem, LONG TRIPS, NO PROBLEM . Snorkel kit solves all your issues. AND A lot of problems can be blamed most of the time on A TUNE. Just make sure you monitor your values and Get a good tune youll love the boost every day.

Had mine for 2 years. You could run into some problems if the engine has high milage. Thats what happened to me. Now I have a fully forged 383. If you dont gover 6lbs then I believe you will be ok.

My truck has 164k on it running 12lbs of boost. Had the kit on since 117k. Had no problems. If you have a used kit for a SS, You can have the filter and shield updated to the new ones. Give STS a call.

The base STS kit is great for ease of install (no headers to install), keep AC, no relocation of accessories and price. If you want to make more power in the future, it can be upgraded fairly easily. For all out performance and less turbo lag, most would end up switching to front mount.

I ran my DIY remote kit on my 120 mile round trip commute for about a year. The only time I ran into problems was during extreme rain. Water would get into the MAF and cause some minor problems. That could've been fixed with a sock I guess. Other than that, not a single problem.
