Default Clearance issue.....someone PLEASE help!

installed my lt's and texas speed true duals, but i have like.......NO ground clearance, they are hanging way to low, the dumps scrape on everything. there is a crossmember right about the x pipe, stopping the pipes in the exhaust from going up any higher, could this be the issue? is it ok to remove that "bracket" or crossmember or whatever the hell it is? my dad thinks its structural, i think its for the drivesahft incase it fails, so it wont fall to the ground, i just dont think its structural because its so flimsy. it connects from the passenger side the the drivers side underneath the car, im sure you guys know what one im talking about. is it ok to remove it? and is there any way i can get some better clearance, because i love the sound but i absolutely CANNOT drive the car like this. thanks alot.

Is the tunnel brace, and I don't see why there would be any problem removing it, but I am not 100%.

Ditch that BITCH!!!! I did. I was wondering the same thing when I put on my TSP ORY. The ORY is supposed to go over the tunnel brace. There was no way it was going to happen. So I posted on here, and 90% of the guys said that they haven't been runnin' the tunnel brace for years. So I just ditched the motha! Keep it in case ya need it later, but it won't hurt to run w/o.

Take it off and see if you can substantially improve your clearence w/o it... if ya do, go and throw the piece of **** off a cliff!

Get rid of it and in the future get an aftermarket one that has more clearence. In the meantime it will be ok to run without it.
