Ok I'm not trying to jack your thread or anything but this is a perfect example of something that's been bothering me.
Look at 98TADRIVER's hp #'s.
338RWHP, 366RWTQ and he went 12.71 @ 111 w/1.91 60'
My car (A4) with a lot of the same mods put down
306RWHP, 318RWTQ and went 12.82 @ 109 w/2.0XX 60' (and my track is slow!!)
That's over a 30RWHP/40RWTQ advantage for a difference in the 1/4 that
can be probably made up for with a better 60'?! What gives?

I see this all the time in sigs, so I'm not picking you out 98TADRIVER, you just happen to be convenient.

Nice Vid dude.

Mong00se, some of us just suck at drag racing, I know that's what my problem is. My car also weighs a good bit more than most.

No prob man, Well, i can get the ol M6 off the line and down the track pretty decent, it took a while, but i learned where and how to launch it at. and the track was redone last year too, so it hooks. as far as hp/ torque , theres a certain thing called parasitic loss thru the drivetrain. M6's are 15 % and A4's are 20% ive been told, so that might be one reason why im making a lil more hp than you.

i ran 38psi in the front tires 19 in the drivers side rear and 17 in passanger side rear, 4000 rpm, slipped the clutch quick, which eventually led to my rear breaking on street tires, lol! after i get my Driveshaft, im headed back out to atco. this time i have my gears and DR's and a slightly different suspension setup in the rear.

Lol, i'm not a noob I know about parasitic drive train loss and all that. What I'm doing is comparing track times with rwhp #'s and things aren't adding up when I compare myself to some of the people I see on here.
For a bolt-on LS1 my car made low numbers, but ran a good time...I don't understand why.

How do you go about shifting during a burn out? Wouldn't your tires stop since you have no momentum?

nah, as long as u shift quick enough, think about it, top of first, like 40mph and theyre spinning, then top of 2nd, 60 or 65mph then 3rd 70+ then 4th at around 80 mph and took it to 110 approx 6000rpm, then kinda backed off a lil and just blurped it on and off throttle

4th at 80? you could do that in third.. wind that car up and let the smoke shoot form the tires far enough to see coast to coast.. na jk man.. i have a video of my old jeep v6 with a locker rear end and i took third to 90+ and 4th to 105 and popped both my tires... ill try and post it sometime.. bad a$$ burnout tho..
