Default Clutch pedal height

Hi guy's
Need a little info just finished my cluth swap. i went with a spec 2 with spec flywheel new slave and master also used Spec shim. Now my question is what is the normal engagement point for an Ls1 mine is releasing at the top of pedal travel. Also my clutch pedal is 2-3 inches higher than the brake pedal is this normal? When I bought the car it needed a clutch so I have no idea where engagement point should be or what clutch pedal travel should be!

The SPEC clutches typically engage at the top of the pedal travel--so that's normal. As for you clutch pedal being 2-3 inches higher than the brake pedal--that doesn't sound normal. They should be roughly even--going just from memory. I'll double check when I drive home and if my memory is wrong, I'll come back in. Could you have an adjustable master? Does everything work ok?
