would nitrous be a good idea? I have been contemplating putting the hose to my car ever since I got it...but I have always been a little scared of it.
My car is now running a compression of 11:1 on the stock bottom end with 90k miles.
If I were to run it what would be the safest route?
I cant afford a direct port system.
Should I run wet or dry? what size shot?
I dont know **** about nitrous...so excuse the ignorance please.
I am not looking to set the world on fire...just give me the edge my car will need that the current 430rwhp n/a cant handle on its own.
what would be as big as I should go without risking any type of engine damage? or would it not be a good idea at all?

Nitrous is always a good idea, lol. With the NA power you have already you probably dont want to spray too much on the stock bottom end to be safe, i would spray a 100 shot at the most. If you go wet you can keep your current injectors instead of upgrading. You will need a high flow fuel pump, WOT, window, and Fuel pressure switch to stay safe as well as colder plugs. Since you have high compression already you might want to pull a few degrees of timing,
The best thing for you to do cause of the compression is to get a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous. Then you can run 93 in the gas tank and put a gallon or 2 of like 105 race fuel in the standalone, this will make it very safe to spray cause of the high octane.
Do some searching through this forum, there is tons of good info here on every aspect of nitrous. You will learn a lot here. The sponsors will also help you in choosing a system that will complement what your goals are.
