I'm not sure about the LT4 cam or anything, but with my once-stock LT1, my average was 18/25.

I usually get 320-300, thats an average of highway and city driving, it also depends on how heavy my foot feels that day.
Its a basically stock LT1, only minor bolt ons, and free mods.

You just answerd yourself, you have an automatic, they use up more energy than a stick does, that is the reason you get worse gas mileage.

Well I also did some mods that would increase my mileage, alot of people put the underdrive pully kits on to get power but I did it to get better mileage. It gave me about 2-3 mpg, and I drilled out some holes in the baffles to my Ram Air, that gave me a little more, and I switched back to the original AC delco plugs, it gave me a few more miles.

Manual transmissions in good working order have a parasitic efficency loss of about 10 percent, while an automatic can have anywhere in the range or 15 to 25 percent. that is a big difference. and if your slushbox is in disrepair, even higher

The way to get better fuel mileage is get more air in and out for the same amount of fuel, keep your cars front end well aligned, keep your tires at the right pressure, run with the AC off if possible, let the engine get hot, the hotter it runs the better mileage usually, when I say hot i mean in the 195-210 degrees. other than that short shift its a stick and dont let the car idle alot. Change the oil regularly use synthetic,

thats everything I can think of, any other Ideas guys????
