How many cubes for street 76GTS?
TSIA....
This is on a *** turbo kit... tubular manifold design. I want to get a broad consensus of where this P76GTS will be with engines in the 360-400" range. What would you do, and why. Thanks for reading.

I say stock cubes also...... but if your thinking about going with a iron block then go with a 364 or 370 if ya want the .30 over pistons.

Here's the deal. . . how much boost do you want to run? Will you be limited at ~15 psi due to pump gas??? That will determine what cid works best.
If you want max power on pump gas at low boost, then you won't be max'ing out the turbo. The more power you make NA the better it will do at low boost levels so bigger engines will do better.
If you plan on max'ing out the 76 at >20 psi on race gas or Meth, then the 346 will work best.
Sure, the Supra's have made over 1000 rwhp with the 76 and only 180 cid, but they do it at 30+ psi boost. If you're going to max out the turbo on race gas, then the cid isn't as critical but the smaller motors do have a better e/i pressure ratio resulting in slightly higher hp numbers
This weekend we are dyno'ing (engine dyno) a carb'd 377 SBC with a T-76. We plan to run 20+ psi on it to see just how much power it will support on that many cubes in an ideal situation.

Very true concerning the race gas...
I guess it comes out to how many stops you want to pull out... Race gas beast? Or pump gas big cid-er, which might choke the turbo at the "race gas/HIGH boost" levels but run super sweet with maximum power for 93 octane?
I'm in the same dilemma here.

Well, living in reality, my goals must change going from stock-inch to this... The final setup will be 9.46:1 with lq9s (this is based on the following data and a formula told to me by an old timer, maybe it's wrong? 4" bore, 4" stroke, -14cc dish, .055" MLS compressed size, 72cc chambers). Making 700RW on meth, FMIC, and pump gas would be fantastic. Getting anything out of it over 6K so I don't have run a stupid tall gear that will break my drivetrain and be overly violent to launch would be great too.

Getting it to go above 6000 may be a problem though. The 377 peaked at 4900 and held flat to 5900. That was with a 230/230 cam and Victor Jr. intake.
