Default Enigine cleaning?

Okay guys help me out I have a stock z28 and im wanting to clean up the engine bay little bit tell me some tips tricks to make it look better. Without going out and buying 500 bucks in chrome. Ive cleaned it and used tire shine but its not good enough for me.

Here's a shot of my engine bay before I did the polishing... I used high heat red paint and tons of clear... very glossy. Spent about $25 worth of supplies and spent a Saturday removing all items, sanding, prepping, masking, and painting. Let it dry overnight and install on Sunday. Make a project out of it.
