invisible glass is great for cleaning them, but if your wanting to remove crap off of them and make them smooth again, use a fine compound like 3M fine cut compound.

from reading other posts on glass cleaning, it seems that most people do not have/are not familiar with water spots that are baked on and etched in the glass. the solutions/products that they recommend will do nothing to clean these kinds of spotting. I tried one product, from a post I read here, that DID begin to remove the spotting. It was very lengthy polishing with a PC on highest speed using AMAZ glass cleaner. It is not a quick or easy process but it is the only thing that had ANY effect on the spots.
Does anyone know of anything better?

Absolutley need same thing. Not interested in killling myself to get rid of spots. Might try the chrome polish idea. What should you use to apply/remove compound. How easy do the spots come off with this method.

I've done the Stoners Invisible Glass Spray and tried various chrome polishes (including mothers). didn't touch the spots.
if you have nicks/scratches/chips in the glass I don't think you can get them out.
