Advice on this 2002 Z28
Took a look at the car today. Runs good, has a squeek coming from the back driver's side that they said would be fixed. Some paint discoloration on the front bumper cover due to the previous owner having a bra on the car.....used car manager said he would paint it if it doesn't buff out. Also the gap between the bumper and the hood is not perfectly straight...I brought that up and they said "that's just how these cars are sometimes." CarFax is clean. One owner car, guy in his mid-thrities traded it in for a Cobalt. They will not budge from the price of $15,400. Opinions??

Are you trading your 98'? Man, I don't know..............$15.4K is premium, it does look good in the pics..........How do you feel about the price? Is it in your price range? Are you planning on moding it right away? If not tell him if he throws in an extended warranty you'd do the $15.4K out the door (all the tax, fees and title crap too). Then back off to just tossing in an extra warranty. I'd gladly take $15K for my 01' and it's only got 12K miles!

I would be selling my Z28.......hopefully to someone on this board
They said they will not budge off the $15,400.....they are a "no haggle dealer." KBB says the suggested retail $18,100...for whatever that is worth. I'd really like them to come down to $14,000. I would only do a few bolt-ons to it right away....exhaust, lid, pully, SFCs...nothing too major....oh yeah, and new rims too, can't stand those snowflakes.
The car is nice.....but not exactly mint. I'm in a position where I don't NEED another car right now, so I can wait for a killer deal. I told them I would let them know tomorrow. I think I'm gonna tell them that I need my payments to be at $300/month with no money down (they quoted me $350)....and if/when they can do that then they should give me a call.

I'd definitely pass on this one. The price ain't anything special IMO, (I don't care what KBB says). I really don't like the fact that the front bumber is discolored AND doesn't line up. Sounds fishy to me. Plus you'll need different wheels anyway. Be patient.

Id pass on it, if it was 100% mint id get it but the fadding and fact the hood and bumper dont line up scares me. Odds are its been in an accident carfax isnt always 100% accurate. Ive seen better deals all the time

Yeah, I've already decided to move along and wait for something better. If it was 100% mint then I'd feel better about it too, but fact is that its not. I guess I should have taken the fact that the salesman went over to oggle my Z28 before he started to show me the one for sale as an indication that this car was not worth jumping on. Thanks for the advice as always.....the search continues.

never rush buying a car because u never know how someone took care of it and tht is including a dealer cause i have heard of many people driving off the lot and not having ne oil in the car
